Let the water Go!

It's insane! There has been an enormous amount of research in the delta regarding fish and water flows. But there has Never been any data presented on how the pumps (when turned on to bring water southward to growers) affects the fish. Does it truly decrease their numbers? Do we really know what the pumps do to the fish? It's time to find out! If not, let the water get to the farms that feed the country!

I'd like to read some scientific commentary on Mr. Cavanaugh's water supply videos and his excellent article about the water shortage and Delta Smelt in Pacific Nut Producer. Are we filtering the smelt properly? Are farmers paying the price of having a limited water supply due to an incomplete scientific evaluation of the decline in the smelt population?

The July 1 Water Rally, sponsored by the California Latino Water Coalition had a great turnout of more than 4,000 people---the biggest rally ever in front of Fresno City Hall.

We need to get everyone in this rally to go to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, AND THEN TO WASHINGTON D.C. to show our solidarity.

This is not just a Central San Joaquin Valley issue. This is a MAJOR State Wide issue.
